About: Lilia Hmadate is a junior at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and a visiting researcher in the WISE (Whiting Internships in Science & Engineering) partnership program between her high school and JHU. She is interested in pursuing Biomedical or Chemical Engineering in the future. Her research interests are Medical Diagnostic Tools, specifically Point of Care (POC) diagnostic devices. She is mentored by Jimmy Forsmo.
