Jinwoo studied Genetics and Mathematics at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he participated in research developing an in vitro neuronal model with the cell line derived from human neuroblastoma. He joined the Kalhor lab with the aspiration of exploring novel approaches that may allow us to better capture valuable information obscured by the complexity of biological systems. His research interests are synthetic biology and complex network theory.
