Jesse Handler completed the MD/PhD program at New York University School of Medicine during which he studied the role of TGF-beta in early pancreatic cancer development in the laboratory of Dafna Bar-Sagi. He then went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He is now a clinical and research fellow at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is thrilled to be joining the Kalhor laboratory where he will continue to study the molecular underpinnings of pancreatic cancer with a specific focus on clonal evolution in metastasis and genomic instability.
