About: Jesse is a passionate physician-scientist working to enable new therapeutic approaches for pancreatic cancer. He completed his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA and the MD/PhD program at New York University in the laboratory of Dafna Bar-Sagi during which he discovered a previously unknown cancer-promoting role for TGF-β in early pancreatic cancer development. He joined the Kalhor Lab during his fellowship at Johns Hopkins to develop tools for exploring dynamic processes in cancer biology with the ultimate goal of intercepting metastasis and drug resistance. He moved onto a faculty position in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology, Division of Medical Oncology, Emory School of Medicine.
